Upgrading to Teams

Microsoft and Teams are Here!

We are pleased to announce that we have upgraded our virtual communication system from Zoom to Microsoft for 2024. You may have been in classes in Semester 2 that started on Zoom, but you can now expect to see most Online LIVE video class links take you directly to Microsoft Teams.

We are also now offering access to the Microsoft 365 Productivity Apps, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and of course, Teams.

You will now have your own login to access these. Simply follow the steps below to find your username and set your account up.

1. Set up your Microsoft Account

Click the button below to sign in to the Microsoft website. Follow the onscreen login instructions and use your details below.

Username: << Test Student ID >>@student.ac.edu.au
Password: Your password will be the same as your Student Gateway password.

2. Multi-Factor Authentication

Your security is our priority. If this is your first time signing in, you will be prompted with a pop-up asking for more details for Multi-Factor Authentication. You can choose to receive a text to your phone or download an app called 'Authenticator' from the App Store or Google Play Store.

3. Download Microsoft Teams

Teams can be accessed via the web browser, but to utilise and enjoy its full suite of capabilities, the installable app is recommended. Click the button below to be taken to the download page.

  • Click Download Now
  • Scroll down and click Teams for work or school

The file will start downloading to your computer. Upon completion, click on it to Install.
