Outcomes
- Identify current rationales for safety and respect in the classroom and identify legislative frameworks and teaching strategies that support inclusive participation and engagement of students across the full range of abilities and providing explicit strategies to support students’ wellbeing and safety- legally and educationally – in a range of school contexts.
- Describe and explain how practical approaches such as giving students clear, just and timely expectations and feedback about individual and group conduct, promotes inclusive participation for students across the full range of abilities and supports their wellbeing and safety.
- Understand how the relevant legislative, administrative and organizational policies, including codes of ethics and conduct, impact school policies and procedures and inform classroom practice. Develop knowledge and understandings of practical approaches to managing students, including involving parents / carers, so that classrooms are safe and supportive learning environments.
