Outcomes

  1. Explain current evidence-based, ethical responses and interventions for trauma;
  2. Select and apply the appropriate support practices of a Chaplain for people affected by trauma, such as domestic and family violence;
  3. Identify client needs and respond with appropriate care or referral;
  4. Integrate understandings of trauma into a self-care plan for Chaplaincy professionals;
  5. Explain how to apply a Christian framework that identifies and works holistically with the survivor, recognising the role defence strategies play in the client’s survival.
