1. Examine connections between English texts and philosophical contexts;
2. Appraise the key philosophical movements that shape the experience of English language texts, from the Classical period  – Contemporary period;
3. Analyse how ideas, perspectives, and values are represented in texts and how they are received by audiences, in particular schools of literary analysis;
4. Explore the relationships between the experience of literary text and religious thinking;
5. Assess evidence to develop, support, and justify a critical interpretation literary critical movement;
6. Compose and defend arguments relating to the structure of two key English literary movements.
