Unit Content

Outcomes

  1. Use ICT as a productivity tool to improve efficiency in teaching and associated administrative tasks;
  2. Critically evaluate free and commercial educational software tools (including government sites and resources), mobile apps, web services and online learning resources and specify the implications of the Quality Teaching Framework and Great Teaching Inspired Learning for ICT;
  3. Apply ICT in the classroom, including for students with special needs, to facilitate quality learning and teaching based on relevant pedagogical frameworks;
  4. Design and develop interactive online learning resources, including appropriate use of technology in assessment and reporting, which can help parents/carers engage in the learning process;
  5. Identify reliable sources of information and help in order to keep up with rapidly changing technologies and applications of technology in the classroom;
  6. Critically analyse issues regarding the impact of technology in education and in society.
