  1. Develop a biblical, theological and historical knowledge of the nature and practice of Christian spirituality;
  2. Assess the richness and diversity of historic, Christian spirituality and prayer practices from different denominational backgrounds;
  3. Describe, evaluate and experience a range of spiritual disciplines for the purpose of developing individual and corporate spirituality;
  4. Develop an advanced ability to extend approaches to the experience of God beyond those dominant in Pentecostal and charismatic movements;
  5. Consider an understanding of traditional and contemporary expressions of spirituality, including Australian Indigenous spiritualities.
