About this Opportunity:

The NSW State Support Officer has two main areas of responsibility:

  1. Primary responsibility for supporting the growth of student enrolments and the profile of AC within NSW, working with a considerable degree of autonomy under direction of the National Director. They act as AC’s ambassador with a focus on business development and institutional promotion, student recruitment and enrolment growth, and constituency development. They also work with the relevant AC departments to coordinate functions required to support their role and responsibilities.
  2. Primary responsibility for ACx oversight. They will take responsibility for the coordination, maintenance, and development of the ACx platform and ACx courses. They will have a good understanding of the consumer’s needs and market trends.

Responsibilities:

This role reports to the National Director and the core objectives include:

  • Promotion and engagement to support the achievement of enrolment growth within NSW in relation to any of AC’s courses.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with State based churches, business and community leaders to secure endorsement of, connection to, and support for AC.
  • [DP1] Organization of opportunities for engagement with State based students and facilitate events that promote student community.
  • Where applicable, supporting the National Director with local operations including chapel, coordinating library services, and facilitating calendar and timetable coordination.
  • Utilization of Salesforce to support business development and record all relevant activities.
  • Providing support to the National Director to achieve annual student enrolment targets and remain focused on engagement with local constituencies and pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Increase the number of ACx platform users and support the development of new micro credentials and short courses.
  • Maintain the ACx platform and respond to student queries or issues.
  • Facilitate promotion of ACx through marketing and social media avenues in coordination with AC’s marketing team.

Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Strong understanding of and commitment to the Christian faith.
  • Understanding of higher education and relationship management, business development, or sales experience.
  • Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education within the church and community.
  • Evidence of organisational, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and personal drive to achieve objectives.
  • Proven people skills grounded in a genuine respect for others.
  • Credentialed with ACC or with another Pentecostal denomination and having a recognized profile within the movement is desirable; and understanding of its ethos.
  • Professional approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Confident manner.
  • Positive approach to change.
