Bec Moffat is a Lecturer in the School of Education who specialises in inclusive and trauma-aware education. She has over 30 years' experience in both mainstream and special education, in both government and independent schooling. She has worked in a range of teaching roles, including curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, special education consultant, learning support, and high potential and gifted education. Her greatest passion is helping trauma-impacted students find their way by providing a trauma-sensitive approach to teaching and learning, informed by recent developments in neuroscience. Bec is currently a Doctor of Education candidate in trauma-aware education at QUT.
