Alphacrucis University College Council Member Wendy Simpson Acknowledged with Australia Day Honour

Alphacrucis University College is pleased to announce that Wendy Simpson has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2025 Australia Day Honours, in recognition of her exceptional service to social welfare, cultural and church organizations, and mentorship. Wendy’s vast contributions continue to inspire countless individuals across various sectors, including her role as a respected Council Member at Alphacrucis University College.

Wendy Simpson serves as a valuable member of the Alphacrucis University College Council, where her leadership and expertise guide the University in its mission to provide world-class education that integrates faith with leadership and service. She has also held numerous prestigious positions in both the business and not-for-profit sectors, including being the executive chair of Wengeo Pty Ltd, a non-executive director at Sydney Prayer Breakfast Ltd, and a director of the General Sir John Monash Foundation.

Wendy’s leadership extends beyond the corporate world. She was inducted into the Australian Businesswoman’s Hall of Fame and has received several awards for her ongoing commitment to social welfare and cultural engagement. Her efforts to foster cross-sector collaboration and mentorship have had a profound impact on both the church and broader community.

Wendy has also been recognized for her contributions to public service through a range of board and advisory roles, including serving on the Advisory Board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. Her work has been instrumental in advancing charitable initiatives and strengthening community bonds.
