Welcome to our short course on Women in Leadership!
It is so exciting to be with you as we dive into this topic. For some of you, this topic will be deepening your understanding of what you already practise. For others, it might be deeply challenging. Regardless of our background and context, we are going to examine this topic to strengthen our knowledge and capture the Spirit’s work on the earth.
Topic 1: Introduction: The Biblical Narrative
There are so many conflicting narratives about women in leadership, so which one is Theologically accurate? In this topic, you will dive into the overarching Biblical narrative of women, from creation to the last days.
Topic 2: Complementarianism Vs Egalitarianism
Navigating two differing perspectives can be challenging, in this topic, you will explore how to approach a theological discussion with humility and grace, specifically addressing topics where Paul speaks about women in Ministry.
Topic 3: Difficult passages
In this topic, we will look at ways to establishing sound doctrine around challenging topics to navigate in the Bible.
Topic 4: Women in ministry, the implications
In this topic you will explore some case studies of women in ministry and look at the amazing ways that God has used women throughout the Bible to bring revival and uncover His truth.
Summary
In this short course, we have covered four topics that relate to “Women in Ministry”. These were:
- Introduction: The overarching biblical narrative
- Complementarianism vs Egalitarianism
- The difficult passages
- The implications: the litany of women leaders
If we fail to recognise that God’s forever plan for male and female representing Him we cripple half the church, and operate out of half of His image.
In Him, we are one. We minister out of grace, humility and service. He has torn down every dividing wall.
