  1. Identify and discuss how management accounting techniques can provide managers with the information to assist them in decision making and achieving the organisational goals and objectives;
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of strategic management decision making;
  3. Critically analyse current management accounting techniques and practices in their organisational context; and evaluate alternate management accounting systems and make recommendations for strategic improvements within operational constraints;
  4. Describe and discuss contemporary issues and developments in management accounting;
  5. Critically evaluate the use of financial verses non-financial performance measures;
  6. Identify and discuss role of management accounting in a dynamic environment (global, technical, business and social).
