Unit Content
Curriculum Objective
At the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate a sensitivity both to the contours of the biblical text and the needs of the congregations in sermon delivery;
- demonstrate an ability to exegete both text and culture;
- assess different principles of communication and sermon construction;
- analyse and show a knowledge of contemporary tools of communication available to today’s preacher; understand the significance of the place of preaching both within the Australian Christian Churches and the wider church.
