Chaplains are an integral part of our communities, whether in a hospital, a nursing home, primary school, a workplace, a correctional centre or the Australian Defence Force. Chaplains are in great demand for their presence and support.

You can make a difference in the lives of those around you by becoming a Chaplain. Outlined below are the scheduled intensives for the Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, as brought together by Chaplaincy Australia and delivered through Alphacrucis College:

The Certificate IV in Pastoral Care is our most popular award. Chaplaincy Essentials are covered first before moving on to the remaining units which make up the Certificate IV in Pastoral Care. This award is nationally accredited, and is the minimum benchmark as set by the Australian Government for candidates to work as Chaplains. Financial assistance is not available on this award; however payment plans can be arranged with Alphacrucis College upon Application.

See Certificate IV in Pastoral Care flyer for more information or watch this video to hear more about Chaplaincy. Career Pathways: watch video
