Child Theology - Professional Development Day

Your Invitation to the first of our Free Professional Development Days 2013
Friday 19 April 2013 – Child Theology
 
This day is designed for serving school teachers, tertiary teacher trainers and pre-service teachers to meet, network and grow together in our craft of Christian education.

This is an opportunity for us to reflect on our practice as teachers and to receive encouragement and inspiration while having the opportunity to build into the lives of each other.
 
The day will be fully catered, starts at 9.00 am and concludes 3.00 pm.

  9.00 am Spiritual Formation of Children and the role of Parents. Dean O’Keefe, AC Director of Vocational Education and Training, Family Pastor Hawkesbury Church
     
  9.45 am The Child Theology Movement and Teachers. Jim Twelves, Program Director, AC Master of Teaching (Primary)
     
  10.30am Morning Tea
     
  11.00am Building the Christian Worldview into the Curriculum with examples from Human Society and the Environment, Stephen Brinton, Teacher Librarian at Toongabbie Christian School, one time Education Officer in Christian Community Schools Ltd and School Principal Gunnedah Baptist Christian Community School
     
  12.00pm Miracle Education - a prayer network specifically for - children of all ages, all aspect of education that affects our young people, and the body of Christ which ministers to our children, Di McRae, founder of Miracle Education.
     
  12.30pm Lunch
     
  1.30 pm The Australian Christian Heritage Foundation and the Cornerstone Community, Paul Roe, CEO of The Australian Christian Heritage Foundation and National Director Cornerstone Community, Dubbo.
